What we collect
Jackpot Calculator has no accounts and no forms that send data to us. The calculator runs entirely in your browser: the amounts, state and filing status you enter are not sent to our servers. They are added to the page address so you can bookmark or share a result; anyone you share that link with will see those inputs.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies or collect personal information, and it does not track you across other websites.
Advertising and cookies
Jackpot Calculator shows, or may show, ads served by Google AdSense. Ads help pay for the site; they never change the calculations or the order of any results.
- Google and other third-party vendors use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other websites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads to you based on those visits.
- These vendors may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser identifiers, and the pages you view. How Google uses information from sites that use its services explains what Google does with this data.
- You can turn off personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of personalized ads from many third-party vendors at aboutads.info. If you turn personalization off, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used, and can change their choice at any time with the Privacy settings link at the bottom of every page.
Your privacy rights in US states
We do not sell personal information for money. But some US state privacy laws, including those in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Texas, treat the use of advertising cookies to show personalized ads as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
If you live in one of these states, you can opt out: use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link shown on the site. After you opt out, Google limits how it uses your data on this site and you will see less personalized ads. You can also email us at the address below to opt out or to ask about your data.
We do not send Google anything that identifies you by name, email or address.
Children
This site is about lottery prizes and taxes and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
