- A New York draw-game prize claim is not valid after one year from the draw date (9 NYCRR 5004.14).
- A New York jackpot winner must elect the annuity or the lump sum no later than 60 days after becoming entitled to the prize; without an election, the prize is paid as an annuity, and an election cannot be changed later without the commission's approval (9 NYCRR 5002.14).
